About Sunrise Nashville
Sunrise Movement Nashville is a local chapter of the Sunrise Movement, a youth-led climate justice organization working to stop the climate crisis and creating millions of good jobs through a Green New Deal. Sunrise is building a movement of youth people standing up for their futures and has over 300 local chapters (“hubs”) across the country. Sunrise Movement’s work pushing elected officials in Nashville to address climate change was featured in the Tennessean and as one of the Nashville Scene’s 2020 Stories to Watch. Recently, they were profiled in Sierra Magazine, the Sierra Club’s award-winning national print and digital magazine.
